Mercato Referral Program Terms & Conditions

The Mercato Referral Program gives users the opportunity to earn Mercato Credit toward future purchases by referring friends to Mercato.com.

As a Referral Program member (a “Referrer”), you are subject to Mercato’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy (both available on our website), as well as the following additional Terms and Conditions for the Mercato Referral Program.

How to earn Mercato Credits

Mercato Users can earn account credit ("Mercato Credits") toward future purchase for Qualified Referrals.

A Qualified Referral is defined as a purchase made at Mercato.com by a person (a “Referred Customer”) who arrives at our website by clicking your Referral Program link. They must complete an order and have that order fulfilled before the Referral is considered “Qualified.”

A Referred Customer must have made no prior purchases at Mercato.com (individually or from any individuals in the same household). A Referred Customer cannot live at the same household as the referrer.

Referral promo codes are applicable to a user’s first purchase only.

Each User may earn a maximum of $6,000 in Mercato Credits.

Referrer is responsible for any and all tax liability resulting from Mercato Credits.

Redeeming Mercato Credit

Mercato Credits will appear automatically in your account and must be used within six months of the date earned. After six months, credits will expire. Mercato Credits may not be combined with additional coupons.

Referred Customers

Referred Customers that make their first-purchase at Mercato.com will also receive a discount or credit in accordance with the terms in the referral invitation.
There is a maximum of one Referred Customer per household.

Sharing Referral Program Links

Links are to be shared for personal and non-commercial purposes. Links should be shared with friends and/or acquaintances and are not be published or distributed on coupon sites, discount sites, or other sites deemed ineligible at Mercato’s discretion.
You must comply with all up-to-date “SPAM” laws. Any distribution of your referral link that could constitute unsolicited commercial email or "spam" under any applicable law or regulation is expressly prohibited and will be grounds for immediate termination of your account and exclusion from Mercato’s Referral Program.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible so as to effect the original intent, and the remainder of this Agreement will continue in full force and effect.

Right to Close Accounts

Mercato reserves the right to close the account(s) of any user at anytime for any reason. Mercato has the right to remove Mercato Credits and close accounts for any User who engages in activity we believe to be fraudulent or abusive, or breaches these Terms and Conditions.

Right to Cancel Program or Update Terms

Mercato reserves the right to cancel the Mercato Referral Program or to change these Terms & Conditions at any time in its sole discretion by updating these Terms on it’s website. Continued use of the website after any modification shall constitute consent to such modification.
