How to Add Delivery Instructions for Your Order
During checkout, you can include delivery instructions that will be visible only to the courier. If you have specific requests for the delivery driver, such as a gate code or asking the order to be left with the doorman, you can add that in the "Delivery Instructions" section.
Where to Add Delivery Instructions
You can add or edit delivery instructions in the following places:
-
When Adding Your Address to Your Account
- Go to your account settings and add a new delivery address. In the delivery address section, you’ll find a field for delivery instructions.

Examples of What Can and Cannot Be Added to Delivery Notes
Acceptable Requests for Delivery Instructions:
- "Our door is green, please ring the bell and leave the order with the doorman."
- "Please call 555-1234 upon arrival to get the gate code."
- "Leave the package at the back door if no one answers."
Unacceptable Requests for Delivery Instructions:
- "Leave the food outside if it’s raining." (Delivery instructions should be for logistical purposes only.)
- "Please deliver to a different address than the one provided." (Changes to the delivery address must be handled by Customer Support before the order is placed.)
Preference Notes vs. Delivery Notes
It’s important to note that preference notes and delivery notes are two different options:
- Preference notes allow you to share specific requests for grocery items with the store, such as asking for ripe bananas or whole wheat bread if multigrain is out of stock.
- Delivery notes provide instructions for the delivery driver, such as requesting to leave the order with a doorman or providing a gate code for access.
Editing Delivery Instructions After Placing an Order
If your order has already been placed and you need to edit the delivery instructions, you can contact Customer Support. We kindly ask that any changes or modifications be made at least 24 hours before your scheduled delivery time to ensure the best service.
